DAY 1 - Guwahati Airport / Rly Station – Shillong (100 kms / 03 hrs.)

On arrival at Guwahati Airport / Railway Station & transfer to Shillong (4,900 ft.), called ‘Scotland of the East”. Enroute visit Umium Lake, a majestic placid lake with its surrounding sylvan hills. On arrival at Shillong, check in at your hotel. Overnight stay at Shillong.

DAY 2 - Shillong Sightseeing

After breakfast visit Don Bosco Museum (Sunday Closed), Ward’s Lake, Botanical Garden and Lady Hydari Park. Evening is free for personal activities. Overnight stay at Shillong.

DAY 3 - Shillong - Cherrapunjee (60 kms / 3 hrs.)

After breakfast drive to Cherrapunjee (4,400 ft.), the wettest place in the world. On the way enjoy Mawkdok Valley, Nohkalikai falls and Arwah Caves. On arrival at Cherrapunjee, check in at your hotel. Overnight stay at Cherrapunjee. Note: Sohra (Cherrapunjee) & Dawki are rich by their own unique beauty & full of natural elegance. The places are paradise of nature lovers & travel enthusiastic. But these destinations are equipped with very limited options, facilities & basic amenities. Even best hotels are equivalent to basic 3*, that too without Fan (at few places), AC & Lift. Standard Accommodations over there are available; just with clean rooms, hygienic bathroom & basic non vegetarian food (very limited options are there for vegetarian guests).

DAY 4 - Cherrapunjee Local Sightseeing

After breakfast we get ready for a half day trek to visit the Double Decker Living Root Bridge deep inside the jungle. It will take 3 to 4 hrs (depending on the physical fitness of the person). Afternoon visit Nohsngithiang Falls (also known as the Seven Sisters Waterfalls), Mawsmai Cave, Koh Ram Hah and Ecopark. Evening back to the hotel. Overnight stay at Cherrapunjee. Optional Activity: Proceed for a full day trekking to the Double Decker Living Root Bridge at Nongriat Village. Need to trek approx. 3200 steps each way to the Double Decker Living Root Bridge. We can further trek down to the Rainbow Falls which take about 60 to 90 minutes from the Double Decker Living Root Bridge.

DAY 5 - Cherrapunjee – Guwahati (160 kms / 6 hrs.)

After breakfast drive to Guwahati, enroute visit Elephanta falls. Arrive and check in at hotel. Evening visit ‘Kalakshetra’, a place where Assamese history and culture. Return to hotel. Overnight stay at Guwahati.

DAY 6 - Guwahati Local Sightseeing

After breakfast out to visit Kamakhya Temple (Notes -Timing 08:00 A.M till 01:00 P.M & 3:00 P.M till its gets dark), Tirupati Balaji Temple, Nabagraha Temple, Assam State Museum, State Zoo cum Botanical Garden, Regional Science Centre and Sukreswar Temple (The 6 th Jyotirlinga of Shiva). Afternoon we suggest an optional tour of Golden sunset cruise on the Brahmaputra (Direct Payment by own). Overnight stay at Guwahati.

DAY 7 - Hotel – Guwahati Airport / Rly Station

After breakfast check out from hotel & transfer to Guwahati Airport / Railway Station for your onward journey.

  • political disturbances (strikes), etc (to be borne by the client, is directly payable
  • on the spot).
  • Any increase in taxes or fuel price, leading to increase in cost on surface
  • transportation & land arrangements, which may come into effect prior to
  • departure.

  • All bookings confirmed after 50% Advance Payment.
  • Once the booking is confirmed, Vouchers will be issued with suggested Trip Detail & hotel reservation, which may change with prior notice to the client.
  • Once you receive the Hotel confirmation from our staff, the client can reconfirm with the hotel for their reservation.
  • We would Require 100% payment 20 Days Before Travelling.
  • For Cash Deposit in the Current Account, a PanCard is required.

  • The applicable cancellation charges will depend on the type of service booked and the time remaining before departure.

  • Any service or convenience fees charged by Universal Travel Services are non-refundable.

Terms & Conditions

If you Cancel your Holiday
You or any member of your party may cancel their travel arrangements at any time. Written notification or an e-mail to that effect from the person who made the booking must be received at our office. The cancellation charges applicable are as per the published cancellation policy below :

If we change or cancel your holiday

We do plan the arrangements in advance. It is unlikely that we will have to make any changes to your travel arrangements.
Occasionally, we may have to make changes and we reserve the right to do so at any time. If there are any changes, we will advise you of them at the earliest possible date.
We also reserve the right under any circumstances to cancel your travel arrangements by assigning reasons to you.
If we are unable to provide the booked travel arrangements due to reasons beyond our control (e.g. bad weather):We shall first try to offer alternative dates for the tour if the tour hasn't already commenced.
If the tour has already commenced, then we shall refund the booking price/fee charged to you on a pro-rata basis depending on the portion of the tour utilized by you.
In all circumstances, however, our liability shall be limited to refunding to you the price we charged as tour fees.
If you want to change your holiday plan
After confirmation of services, if you wish to change your travel arrangements in any way (e.g. your chosen departure date or accommodation), we will do our utmost to make these changes but it may not always be possible. Any request for changes must be in writing from the person who made the booking. All cost incurred due to amendment will be borne by you.

If you have a complaint
If you face any problem during your holiday, please inform the relevant supplier (e.g. your hotelier, transporter etc.) and/or our representative immediately who will endeavor to set things right. If your complaint is not resolved locally, please follow this up within 28 days of your return home by writing to us, with your booking reference and all other relevant information. However, please be advised that while we are happy to assist you in the redressal of your complaint, if any, we will be able to extend only our best efforts in managing/coordinating your complaint with the respective service provider. All third party service providers are independent contractors who are at no time under our control or supervision.

All booking vouchers and tickets will be provided 3 days before departure.
